MEMBERSHIP CATAGORIES

CERTIFICATE HOLDING MEMBER

•   Hold office in local lodge
•   Serve as a delegate or alternate at district convention
•   Serve as delegate or alternate at national convention
•   Pays national initiation fee, national dues, $6.00 towards
    Danish Sisterhood News & local lodge dues.
•   A member 85 or older is exempt from national dues
•   A youth member 0 to 14 is exempt from national dues
•   Pays monthly assessment to the funeral benefit fund
•   A CHARTER member 0-64 must purchase a funeral benefit
•   After 30 years of membership assessment payments are completed
•   A CHARTER member 65-79 is not required to purchase a funeral benefit.
•   If she/he chooses not to make the purchase the individual would join as
    an Associate Member.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

•   Hold office in local lodge
•   Serve as delegate or alternate at district convention
•   Pays national initiation fee, national dues, $6.00 towards
    Danish Sisterhood News & local lodge dues.
•   Is not eligible for funeral benefit therefore does not pay monthly assessment.
•   Is over the age of 65 or a member who is not eligible to join the funeral benefit
    fund due to health limitations.

AMBER MEMBER

•   Hold office in local lodge
•   Serve as delegate or alternate at district convention
•   Serve as delegate or alternate at national convention
•   Pays a $39.00 membership fee, which includes the national dues, and
    the Danish Sisterhood News. The National Initiation Fee is waived
    for this membership.
•   Pays local lodge dues.
•   Does not purchase a funeral benefit therefore do not pay monthly assessment.

LODGE #300 MEMBER

•   Pays national dues, $6.00 towards Danish Sisterhood News, and an
    annual service charge.
•   Pays assessment for a funeral benefit, if a Certificate Holding Member.
